Freedor Free-Swing Door Closer - A Solution for the NHS

The Royal Liverpool University Hospital has the largest emergency department in the country and has over 40 wards and 710 beds. Staff constantly came up against difficulties navigating patients on beds and in wheelchairs when passing through the numerous fire doors. The hospital’s requirement was to find a solution that would allow staff, patients and visitors to move freely within the hospital and also maintain fire safety standards. Safelincs worked closely with Mike Farrell, Fire Safety Advisor at the hospital, setting up a trial for Freedor, a wireless free-swing door closer which was successful and subsequently implemented on a permanent basis.

P50 Service Free Extinguishers - A Cost-Saving Solution for Empire Cinemas

The largest independent UK cinema chain, Empire cinemas wanted to reduce their annual servicing costs for fire extinguishers and were impressed with the innovative P50 service-free extinguishers on offer from Safelincs. Safelincs supplied and installed the service-free extinguishers in Empire Cinemas’ new and existing sites as well as in the adjoining restaurants and cafes. “Safelincs were an easy company to do business with,” commented Steve Clode, Facilities Manager, Empire Cinemas. “The solution they have provided gives us the very latest in fire extinguisher technology, whilst enabling us to achieve significant cost savings over the coming years.”

Fire Extinguisher Services to Suit the Requirements of a Leading Energy Company

One of the UK’s leading power companies, E.ON, had very bespoke requirements when decommissioning one of its oil-fired power stations. Safelincs were able to offer a detailed service plan of the 525 extinguishers that had previously been supplied by Safelincs to this site. Each extinguisher was individually numbered to allow for clear identification and where possible the extinguishers were re-installed at a new gas turbine station along with new units where required. Safelincs worked closely with E.ON to set up the fire points and were able to provide substantial savings.

Corrosion-Free Fire Extinguisher Solution for Construction Sites

Bowmer & Kirkland were searching for an appropriate fire extinguisher solution for their 100 plus construction sites. They needed a product that would cope with the often harsh environment as well as giving them a cost saving. They had a mixture of traditional water, AFFF and powder extinguishers that suffered from being on a construction site, corroding or getting dented. Safelincs replaced all of their extinguishers with P50 service-free foam equivalents, a solution that not only saved them money but also made tackling fires a whole lot easier. These extinguishers can be used on class A and class B fires and are safe to use on live electrical fires up to 1000 Volts. P50 extinguishers are constructed using only corrosion-free components and the models with anti-freeze remain operational down to temperatures of -10 °C.
